General Info About Committees

For every committee a number of committee members is necessary, during the selection period your preferences and experience will be asked and when the studytrip participants are announced also their respective committee functions will be announced.

Within every committee, there will be a committee president who will regularly attend the board meetings of foundation ICE, and vice versa, each board member of the foundation has one or two committees he or she is responsible for, the board responsible will strive to attend most of the meetings of the committee.

Corporate Identity

The Corporate Identity committee will be working on the style of the trip. Everything that has to do with design is done by this committee. The main task for this committee is the website. The website will be containing a blog to keep a travel log, this has to be made by the design committee. Before we go on a study trip we want to have a little travel book with fits our destination and our to be decided theme. This travel book contains among others Japanese and Koreans customs, some useful sentences in the foreign languages and the program of the trip. All the things that have to be designed will be designed in one style. It is important to be able to communicate clearly with each other to get to one coherent style.

 

What do you do?

The different things that need designing will probably be divided, if it can be agreed on. So you can focus on one aspect like the website or a travel book. You do have to meet with your fellow designers for feedback and a coherent style.

Case Coordination

The case coordination committee will work on gathering cases from companies and from the university. These cases will be executed by the participating students and are meant to lower the price per person of the study trip.

                     

What do you do?

The case coordination has three stages, first arranging cases with companies, second coordinating the cases and third finishing the exchange with the companies.

 

Arranging Cases

For arranging the cases you will often work together with the Corporate Contact committee, you will be contacting and searching companies that might want to collaborate with CreaTe.

We want to convince these companies that it’s beneficial for them if they let our students perform casework for them, so we want interesting cases for the students with subjects that are somewhat applicable to companies we visit at the destination.

All the companies will be registered in the CRM trello page, such that it’s clear for everyone who’s working on contacting which company and what the progress is.

 

Coordinating Cases

Once all the cases have been found, they will have to be announced to the participants, and according to preference the cases have to be divided over the students. All the participants will have to sign a case contract with the company and foundation ICE. While all the students are working on the cases your job is to keep the companies updated and happy.

Corporate Contact

The corporate contact committee basically is the acquisition committee of ICE. This committee will work on getting into contact and maintain the contact with companies in the Netherlands and in the countries of destination. Corporate Contact will try to get sponsorships, arrange company visits and work closely together with the Case Coordination committee to arrange cases at these companies. This committee has a big influence on the costs of the study trip: the more sponsorships and cases we get, the cheaper it’ll become.

 

What do you do?

We want to convince these companies that it’s beneficial for them if they sponsor our study trip in any way, so especially in the beginning, you will mainly work on acquisition. Once a company is interested, you will be the contact person within ICE for them and therefore, keep the companies updated and happy while getting a good sponsorship for our study trip.

Logistics

The Logistics committee, as it says, is going plan the logistics of the studytrip. This is one of the most important aspects of the trip. We cannot arrive late at our appointments with business and definitely not for our plane. This is why the logistic committee will make a schedule which states when we are where, and how we are going to get there on time. When making this schedule we also will be looking at costs. We will choose if we want to use a travel agency for our flights or if we will be finding flights ourselves.

 

Education

The Education Committee will work on the educational aspect of the studytrip, this encompasses the organization of the theme-course of the studytrip and the research topics of the studytrip. The studytrip has one or a more research topics that the trip, the visits during the trip and the pre-travel research are based on. The theme-course needs to be arranged with the exam board of CreaTe and the teachers.
